Women Over 40 Feeling Sensual Instead of Self-conscious In Fashion
Fashion has always been a part of my life and how I express myself in the world. Three years ago, I underwent a myomectomy to remove fibroids. They came back. Along with them came a growing frustration with my wardrobe. Nothing fit the same anymore — especially at certain times of the month when the bloating became more intense.
I began to realise that most of the clothing I owned had been designed by men or by machines disconnected from the realities of living in a female body. So much fashion still reflects an idealized “standard” body — one untouched by hormonal shifts, inflammation, bloating, perimenopause, or the natural evolution of time.

My goal is simple in every design: flattering the female form with ease, softness, and quiet confidence. As a woman living with fibroids and often experiencing bloating, I understand intimately how self-consciousness can quietly enter the dressing room. I wanted clothing that still made me feel beautiful and feminine — even on the days my body did not feel flat, controlled, or camera-ready.
Because the reality is that many women over 40 are navigating changing bodies while still living vibrant, expansive, beautiful lives. We are traveling. Building. Falling in love. Reinventing ourselves. Hosting dinners. Swimming in the sea. Taking photographs that become memories. And yet so much fashion still seems designed for a version of womanhood frozen in time.

OMEROSE was created for the woman who still desires beauty and sensuality, but no longer wishes to suffer for it.
For the woman who wants to enjoy dinner in Sicily without wondering how her stomach will appear in photographs. For the woman who wants to walk barefoot across a villa terrace with the same ease she carries into an evening restaurant.
For the woman who values effortless elegance over excessive complication.
I travel extensively, and as I write this from Sicily, I am living from a small carry-on suitcase. That reality shaped the philosophy of the collection even further. I did not want complicated pieces that could only exist in one setting or for one photograph. I wanted clothing that could move seamlessly through life.
A dress worn over a bikini by the sea. The same dress later worn to dinner with jewelry and sandals. A piece that feels appropriate at home, on a terrace, in a coastal town, or boarding a flight.
Versatility became its own form of luxury.
The second raison d’être behind OMEROSE is equally personal. Living between tropical climates and approaching perimenopause, I simply could no longer tolerate polyester or synthetic fabrics against my skin. Heat, humidity, and artificial fibers felt unbearable.
OMEROSE therefore uses high-quality European natural fibers chosen not only for their beauty, but for how they feel on the body. Breathable fabrics. Soft fabrics. Fabrics that move. Materials that honor comfort without losing refinement.
Because true luxury is simplicity and comfort.
It is the feeling of ease when you wear something repeatedly because it belongs naturally to your life. It is packing lightly yet feeling prepared for every moment.
It is honoring the passage of time instead of resisting it.
At its heart, OMEROSE is not about hiding the female body. It is about releasing women from the exhausting idea that they must constantly control it in order to deserve beauty.
The evolution of the female form is not something to conceal. It is something to accessorize with grace. And perhaps that is the true luxury of this chapter of womanhood: feeling sensual instead of self-conscious.
